It is claimed that economic developement has the highest priority for several governments, while some people believe that growth in other fields have the same level of importance for a country. In my opinion, although financial prosperity plays a crucial role in a country’s success, without seeking a parallel growth in culture, public awareness, and educaion, a nation may either fail to reach that goal or, even if it does, it won’t be qualified and trained enough to sustain the success for long term.
Economic developement is closely linked to advancements in various sectors, including transportaion, business investment, healthcare services, urban planning, and many others. In fact, without financial progress, governments may struggle to generate required budget for improvements. Instead, a large proportion of their resources may be spent on maintenance, leaving little room for long term developements. For example, Iran, a country in the Middle East, has faced numerous economic challenges, resulting in failing to sustain its natural resources, including it’s most important river and underground water sources.
On the other hand, an equal attention on the nation’s growth mostly on their schooling and awareness is needed in order to prepare them mentaly and educationally to maintain the economic progress for a long period of time, beside having a well-educated and informed population which would excel in other sectors as well undoubtedly. For instance, Iran experienced a significant economic growth during the reign of Reza Shah Pahlavi by the force and hard work of the people in power; however, most citizens weren’t educated enough to comprehend the positive progress happening in their own country. This gave power to some other countries to take advantage of their lack of knowledge and encourage them to stand against their government, leading to a revolution with backward economic outcomes.
In conclusion, some beforehand developements are necessary in educations and culture to reach and maintain an economic progress. Whoever, a well-educated population would reach a fine level of financial state sooner or later, but any good achievement would be dargged down by unaware people.
