The provided pie chart depicts the causes of degradation of agricultural land worldwide and the table illustrates how these reasons have affected three regions – North America, Europe and Oceania during the year 1990.
Overall, majority of the land degraded globally was due to over-grazing and total proprortions of land degraded was highest in Europe while North America had the lowest proportion of total land degraded.
Regarding the pie chart, most common reason for land degradation was by over-grazing ,comprising 35 % followed by deforestation contributing 30 % . The least land were degraded by other causes with only 7% which is one fourth of the land degraded by over-cultivation accounting 28%.
Regarding the table, Europe had the most land degraded with a proprtion of 23% and the main reason for this was deforestation with 9.8%. However, the proprtion of overall land degraded was least for North America consisting only 5% . Over cultivation had no effect on total land degraded with 0% for Oceania.
