One of the memorable museum I have visited was International Mountain Museum which is located in Pokhara. It takes about 6 to 7 hours by bus from Kathmandu and 25 minute plane from plane. It was during my 10th grade in which we were going for educational trip. Inside the International Mountain Museum, it exhibits 3 different gallery units. The first gallery unit was Mountain People Gallery in which different local communities residing near the mountains. Their lifestyle, culture and tradition were represented. For example, Sejvas, Gurung and Thakalis. The next one was Mountain Gallery Unit in which the present and past history about mountains as well as overall view of 14 mountains over 8000 meters were displayed. Last but not least, Mountain Equipment Gallery. In this gallery, there were different kinds of instruments and equipments which were used in mountaining. Outside the Mountain Museum, there was a 31 foot mountain aslo monument which was quite difficult to climb. Overall, my experience was quite knowledgeable. I got to know about it.
