The pie charts give information about local government money spending for eight different items, from 2010 to 2015.
Overall, looking at the pie charts, they show that the pensions category remained stable over the two years. Also, another interesting point is that interest on borrowing and welfare had the biggest growth over the given period.
2010 shows that the most popular expenditure was education, with 24%. Healthcare was second, with 21%. Pensions and defence were approximately in the same place, with the former being 19% and the latter 17% in 2010. In the bottom were transport (3%), culture and leisure (2%) and other expenditures (1%).
Regarding the changes in 2015, education and healthcare went down slightly from 24% to 21% and from 21% to 20%, respectively. In contrast, pensions were at the same level in both years, at 19%. One of the highest changes was with interest on borrowing; it doubled from 5% to 10%. Finally, welfare increased by 5%, from 8% to 13%.
