It is often argued that, technological advancements have a negative impact on human interactions. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting my own opinion, respectively.
Firstly, it is evident that the technological developments have benefited yet also limited our society today. Ever since the rise of telecommunications, humans have been able to communicate with people all over the world. In addition, activites that used to be only feasible physically, were introduced to be possible online. Such as- socialising using media, conversing via messages, playing games together, and so on. Another compelling advantage, is the ability of interactions to not be affected by reasons like, epidemics or travels. Humans are able to conduct work meetings, and online classes , regardless of physical restrains due to the enhanced automations. Moreover, the networks today behave like glue, helping friends and family stay connected regardless of distance.
Proponents may argue that, humans ionshave lost their confidents in their socialising skills owning to the fact of technology making it easier. Not to mention, the ample evidence suggesting, the rate of human interactions have drastically decreased due to humans opting to spend their time by themselves. However, it’s the decision taken by the individual themselves, and there is no strong fact stating, the reduction in conversations are due to enhanced mechanisms.
In light of the arguments presented, it is clear that the advantages of advanced techonolgy overlooks the drawbacks towards human interactions. Regardless to the lack of comfortabilty to converse face-to-face, humans are more connected and united than ever.
