The graph illustrates how well transportation in the UK went from 1974 to 2002 using distinct transfer methods. From my overall perspective of view, the road has the highest quantities, and the pipeline has the lowest trend between 1974 and 2002.
From 1974 to 2002, road transports of 70 million tons were conducted at the start and there was a gradual incline at the end of 2002. For the mode of water, the trend rose gradually approximately from 40 million tons to 50 million tons between 1974 and 1985 and it remained at the same level. After that, the transportation went slightly up to 60 million tons in 2002. In railway transport, there was a fluctuation for the whole period. The trend of railway met a modest decline from 1975 to 1985 and then it fluctuated until 1995. In 2002, the quantities of goods by railway remained stable at the 40 million tons level.
The mass of transport for the pipeline met a dramatic increase of approximately 5 million tons to 21 million tons between 1974 and 1980. After that, the trend remained constant from 1980 and 1990 and slightly decreased in 1995. In the end, the line remained at the same level of 20 million tons of goods.
