  1. Lucas Junior Kelwulan says:

Overall, kids waste their time on smartphones because their parents do not have time to bond with them, and they give a bad example to their children. Parents should show that children that wasting time outside is more fun rather than playing gadgets.

  2. Lucas Junior Kelwulan says:

Conversely, smartphones also minimize communication between family members. This could happen because instead of maybe talking about their day, everyone is too busy with their phones. Moreover, parents’ role is to be an example for their children; parents should persuade their children not to play on smartphones too often and ask them to bond and build stronger love together. While parents are a good example for their loved ones, children would copy the actions and not waste an abundant of time playing gadgets, instead they would help their mother with cleaning the house or play with their friends in the playground.

  3. Lucas Junior Kelwulan says:

To begin with, children are in a phase where they play outside and make friends offline, not by sitting on the couch and play videogames. The effects that might occur to a child that spends an absurd amount of time on gadgets is ussualy addicted, anger issues, and less communication with close peers. Over time, children who use smartphones frequently will be addicted because it has almost no effort to enjoy the things that are shown in the gadget, in result they will be addicted. In addition, as soon as their gadgets are put away, kids will have nothing to do and because of playing too much videogames, their anger issues can’t be controlled, the kids rage because the one thing that they like to do is put away.

  4. Lucas Junior Kelwulan says:

Nowadays, children waste their time on smartphones simply because their parents either to lazy to do activities with their child or they are too busy that they do not have time to do activities resulting buying a smartphone for their child. In my opinion, children that uses their smartphones everyday is a negative development because of the following reasons.

  5. Ester Ayu says:

Nowadays people tend to be more engaged into smartphone for daily use, without exception in children. Many children have known about smartphone since their babies and often already having their own phone. While some claim that giving smartphone to their children will improve their learning ability , i firmly believe that phenomenon potentialy impact on their golden age.

  6. Nargiz Karimova says:

In contemporary society, it is prevalent for school-aged children to be engaged in prolonged daily usage of smartphones. This essay explores core reasons behind this practice and draws attention to its negative implications. The excessive time spent on smartphones constitutes a structural issue in child rearing, often unintentionally triggered by parents. While there are some positive aspects, the overall impact of this trend on children is likely to be detrimental.

One of the primary reasons for excessive smartphone usage by children is related to the inability of society and families to adequately organize the leisure time of young individuals. Demanding professional lives of parents result in limited opportunity to spend time with their children. Consequently, children remain unsupervised at home the entire afternoon after school. Smartphones have become a necessary tool to maintain continuous connectivity throughout the day. Additionally, another contributing factor is that educational facilities lack effective extracurricular programs designed to occupy children’s leisure time.

Although the engagement with technological advancements can have positive impact on children, the disadvantages of excessive smartphone usage considerably outweigh its benefits. First of all, it distracts school-aged students from their academic studies. Child psychologists advise parents to limit the time their children spend in front of screen, as excessive exposure toblue light affects their learning habits. From another perspective different programs accessed through smartphones put children at risk of exploitation. Their images, chat content and personal information are recorded by organized criminal groups. Therefore, smartphone usage of young individuals should be strictly monitored and regulated.

To conclude, while there are numerous aspects of smartphone use to benefit from, the detrimental impact of this practice overshadows the majority of its benefits. Along with diverting the children’s attention from their academic assignments, the excessive smartphone usage increases the threat of abuse to school-aged children.

  7. Halwo Ali says:

The extensive use of smartphones among children presents both merits and drawbacks. On the negative side, excessive smartphone use can lead to increased anxiety and frustration, hindering their ability to concentrate on learning new concepts. This impairs their focus and cognitive development. Furthermore, addiction to smartphones can result in wasting time on negative content or gaming, which can obstruct effective communication with peers and ultimately impact their future opportunities. Conversely, there are positive aspects to smartphone usage; they serve as valuable educational tools. Through gaming, children can develop problem-solving skills, and watching films can inspire entrepreneurial aspirations and ways to assist others. Indeed, the digital landscape offers abundant resources for guidance and motivation.
