Overall, the percentage of elderly people in the 65 and over group in all three countries started in likewise position and ending up with upward trend. Noticeably, Japan is expected to have the most dramatic increase in this proportion out of this three country.
Firstly, in the 1940 , elderly populations percentages in the USA were the highest . At nearly 10%. Whereas those Sweden were 7% and Japan were only 5%. Over the following 40 years older population in both USA and Sweden rose by around 12%. By contrast, Japan remained below at the same time.
However, after coming back to the initial proportions in 2020, the figures for Japanese elderlies are predicted to peak at approximately 27% by 2040. Until 2040, the percentage of people aged 65 and over in the USA will account for about 23%, and 25% of the old in the Sweden might be expected.
