The given line charts depict the changes happened over a hundred years from 1920, in the ownership of three different electrical appliances and the amount of house work time by a country.
In an overview, it is clear that, there was a considerable growth in the usage of refrigerator and Vacuum cleaner. However, owning of washing machine had fluctuating percentages over the same period of years. In addition to the increase in these electrical appliances, reduced the number of hours of house chore per week from 1920 to 2019.
First year of the given chart shows that, there had no one used the refrigerator. In the same year, one by third of the total percentage was recorded for the ownership of vacuum cleaner, similary, about 40% of ownership to washing machine. However, next decades, all houses had refrigerator, which is recorded by the year 1980. In the same way, after the year of 2000, house holds chores had vacuum cleaner as well as refrigerator. Neverthless, there was a change in the ownership of washing machine, from the beginning it had 40% of ownerships, which then slightly increased to about 70% in 2019.
Furthermore, increased amount of electrical appliances such as, washing machine, refrigerator and vacuum cleaner respectively reduced the households chores time Spent From 1920 to 2019. In 1920, 50 hours per were recorded for washing clothes , preparing food and cleaning. Later it decline to 10 hours only.
