There is currently a contentious argument over that college students today have much more freedom and they barely study. I totally agree with this opinion and the evidence of my statement shall be explained in the upcoming paragraphs.
The fundamental reason why i believe undergraduates enjoy privilege and hardly study is because in today’s era social media has strong impact on children that they indulge themselves more into it rather than concentrating on their studies. Universities also hardly have any control on freshman and even barely care about what the child is learning and the fact of 80% of compulsory attendance had also lacked behind. For example in some colleges in India , the attendance rate has decreased to 45% from 80%.
Another reason why is support this notion is due to the fact that level of study has immensely diminished in the recent years as compared to the past years. Education boards are making it easy for college learners to pass the examination, reduction in syllabus thus leading to tense free environment for kids. For example , In India the education minister has made exam much easier with 80% of paper to be multiple choice. This has led the child to concentrate less on study and more on enjoying.
To conclude, I vehemently believe that scholars have too much liberty and avoid studying because of the power of social media and lenient behaviour of parents and teachers thus leading scholars to somehow pay less attention on their curriculum and thus let them enjoy freely.
