The bar chart is illustrating a comparision of the amount of time spent by Australian parents in supporting their children on different activities in the year 2013.
Overall, it is interesting to note that individual role of fathers is much less than mothers. However, the collective efforts are visible, an indicator of coordinated work.
It is evident that mothers are spending more time than fathers in all the subject areas which inlcudes: dressing, home work, playing games, and preparation of bed. The two areas of dressing and home work are entirely dominated by mothers with more than 70% of the time dedicted for upkeep of the children, followed by educational matters at around 52%. However, the fathers seems to be more active in collective efforts.
The combined support is visible in all the areas but superlative in playing games and retiring for the bed. Although, as a general view, it is reflective that all areas execpt for the dressing and upkeep part, are reflection of mutual collaboration with highest percentage of time spend on playing acitivities close to 70%.
Conclusively, the role of mother is visible on the chart but collective role of fathers cannot be ignored at all.
