Do you believe that education should focus more on academic knowledge or practical skills? Why?

I believe that education should focus more on practical skills because, during practice, a person can develop their abilities to work. For example, my practical skills help me more than the knowledge I gained at university. That is why I think that practical skills are more important than academic knowledge.
