In today’s world, the factors that affect a child’s behavior and development have become a sparked debate. Some argue that, in this digital era, the primary factors are media, pop culture, and friends, while others believe that the family constitutes the main reason. In this essay, I will discuss both perspectives and provide my opinion.

On the one hand, media, pop culture, and friends can affect indirectly the child’s development. Children spend a lot of time playing with their friends and learning their behaviors from each other. Moreover, children watch TV for a long time and can easily memorize what they have seen or heard.

On the other hand, the family has the main responsibility for the child’s development because it can teach him, monitor his growth process, and help him improve his skills, discover the world, and gain knowledge. In addition, many children consider their parents as the best persons in the world and try to imitate their actions.

In my opinion, both perspectives are correct. Every detail in the child’s environment can affect his behavior and development. I tend to consider that the family has the biggest effect because they can control their child’s development process, while friends and media affect indirectly the child’s behavior and development.

In conclusion, it’s clear that media, pop culture, friends, and family can affect a child’s behavior and development. It’s important to remember that the family can control the child’s development process and help him to improve his skills, while media and friends affect indirectly the child’s development.
