Do you ever write letters by hand? (Why/Why not?)

If my memory serves me right, the last time I wrote a letter by hand was four years ago. Our English teacher told us to write our own letters as an examination. From my perspective, writing a letter is beneficial, as it can bridge and maintain new connections and also lower our screen time.
