Today I am going to describe a skill that I learned relatively late in life, but I should have learned it at an earlier stage, and that is cooking skills. In my house, my mother used to cook for others, and in my opinion, she is the best chef in the world because she always made different types of food with great aroma and ingredients that always tasted better and first-class. So, when I decided to go abroad for pursuing my higher education, I also decided to learn cooking skills because I thought it would be a great idea to cook for myself while abroad. It would not only help me keep fit but also be a great way to reduce my daily living costs. In July 2019, I told my mother to teach me how to cook. She was very happy to hear that and tried all possible methods to teach me how to cook, how to use aroma, and how to use different kinds of ingredients like sweet and spicy ingredients, how to boil something, and make it more tasty, and so on, which helped me a lot in my future days. Learning cooking skills has impacted my life immensely. First of all, I would say learning cooking skills keeps me fit and healthy because street food is often unhealthy and can create different types of illnesses, which I always want to avoid. Moreover, it is also a cost-effective option for me to live abroad. So, I think it has impacted my life greatly.
