I had a professor whose name was Mr. Danny Yoon. He used to teach me sociology in my first semester of my bachelor’s degree. And he told me to believe in myself and learn from my mistakes instead of giving up. That was the time when I had a very disappointing grade in my midterm exams and I gave up basically and I was looking forward to dropping the course instead of giving my best on the final examination. But when he knew about the fact that I was giving up, he called me for one-on-one meeting and after I joined he told me to believe in myself as I said and you should not give up and learn from my mistakes from which I felt very motivated and I promised him that I would practice hard and do my best on the next exam and as I did also and when I gave my final exam his advice helped me a lot study and practice harder for the final exam. I didn’t get 100% obviously but I did pass that course and instead of failing or dropping the course I listened to him and I made up my mind so his advice helped me pass that course and not only that course every time I think of giving up in my academics or even my day-to-day life I think of his advice to learn from my mistakes and not give up so that really helped me in my life overall.
