The diagram illustrates the steps involved in the production of waste paper recycling.
Overall, there are six steps to turning waste paper into usable paper, that is collecting, sorting, delivering, cleaning, de-inking, and manufacturing. All processes were carried out by machine-operated and hand-operated.
In the first step, the input was waste paper that collected from public paper banks and business sectors. Then, the waste paper collection sorted regarding the quality of the paper. This sorting process was operated by hand to choosing the graded paper and removing the unsuitable paper. After that, the graded paper was delivered to paper mill.
The next steps were cleaning and de-inking. There was a same treatment during the cleaning process and de-inking process, which is removal. However, removal in cleaning process means that clear up paper with other material, such as staples. Meanwhile removal in de-inking process means that separate paper with inks and glues.
The last step was manufacturing, which making waste paper into usable paper using machine manufacture.
