Overall, Sao Paulo had the highest residents compared to other cities between 1990 and 2000 while Jakarta had the lowest number of population. Also, there were significant differences in the predicted and actual figures for 2000 in all cities .
It is clear that the residents of Jakarta and Shanghai began at nearly 8 million and around 13 million . After that two cities are predicted to see rapid population growth in Jakarta and gradual decline in Shanghai, with both having similar figures of around 11 million people in 2000. However , in practical , the populations of both cities have increased noticeably, with Jakarta and Shanghai having populations of approximately 13 and nearly 15 million respectively in 2000.
Next is the city of Sao Paulo, which has the highest predicted and actual population compared to the other two cities, with a population of approximately 17 million in 1990. The city’s population was predicted to increased dramatically around 23 million, but in reality, it increased even more significantly, reaching nearly 24 million in 2000.
