When thinking of the time when I actually didn't use it the most efficiently, I think of the times when I was in high school. Most people would probably say that they wasted time on doing something else rather than studying, but for me, I felt like during my high school years, I actually spent too much time studying and doing homework rather than living my life. It happened back in grade 10 when I would choose not to go out and would just go straight home after classes to study or revise the materials for upcoming quizzes, even though the quiz was two weeks away. I feel like I missed out on a lot of opportunities and good memories that could have been built with my friends. During that first year of grade 10, I felt like I wasn't really connecting with my friends because all I did was study, and I would barely interact with them or talk to them. They would see me as someone who's nerdy or very introverted, someone who just stayed at home. I feel like you only live your high school life once, and what you should do is actually live a life building connections and gaining experiences. It doesn't necessarily have to be going out to restaurants or shopping malls; it could just be work opportunities like internships, which my school actually made us do. But yeah, I chose just to study at home and do nothing. The reason why I didn't actually live my life is that I had this fear of failure, that if I didn't study, I would regret it for the rest of my life, and I wanted everything to be perfect. I would say that I'm quite a perfectionist, so everything I do, I want my grades to be perfect rather than just spending time with my friends.
