I will talk about chemistry which was the subject that I struggled a lot during my high school and first year at university. Before that, I mostly studied physics and math, but when I studied chemistry, it felt like a whole different world. The main reason I found it challenging was that it’s very abstract and requires a lot of memorization. I have to understand how those tiny particles, co-adams, and molecules that I can actually see, I remember sitting in class looking at the periodic table which is basically a massive charge containing elements and symbols. I felt totally overwhelmed by all those alien languages and trying to balance the chemical equations feel like a difficult puzzle than just a science lesson. And I felt pretty frustrated for the first few months because I couldn’t memorize and apply the molecules characteristic to application. However, things start to click when I did lab experiments. Creating the liquid change color or creating bubbles made the theory more understandable. And at that point, I realized that chemistry isn’t just a symbol on page. It’s really fascinating and provoking in its own way. And even though I had to pull a few night’s dilutions to pass the exam, I’m glad that I received the good grades at the end. it really changed the way I look at the warrant. Now I can apply some of my backgrounds to read scientific papers and some detective novels that I like in my free time.
