Overall, the USA had the highest number of individuals visiting throughout most of the period, whereas Japan showed the lowest figur.Additionally visitors in both Australia and the USA experienced significant fluctuating trends, while Japan recorded slight growth.
In detail, the total number of people visiting in the USA rose steadily from approximately 17 million in 2010 to a peak of 25 million in 2016 before declining moderately to around 18.5 million. Japan followed the same pattern, it remained stable at around 10 million between 2010 and 2012, then rising dramatically to nearly 23 million in 2018 and returning to about 16 million in 2020.
By contrast, Australia experienced a gradual upward trend,the figure increased from just under 8 million at the beginning of the period to around 15 by the end.
