Technology has evolved so much that everything almost reachable. With the advent of phone application such as Facebook, it changed the way how we communicate. In this writing, I will lay my opinion about how technology has influenced human relationships and whether it has a positive or negative effects.
Long before, the communication was barely reachable in a way that written letters take ages to reach. In addition to this, the human connection was quite self-isolating due to the fact that that were almost no contacts until the arrival of the telephones. The invention of the telephones improved the social lives of people even by just simply conversing over the phone. Contrary to the present times, human relationships is beyond the reach ranging from face-to-face communcations by the use of mobile device applications such as FaceTime and Facebook. Looking back, the transition from written, oral and visual communication made it more possible to bring people closer together even if they are not seeing each other. Additionally, video software applications like Zoom nowadays brought people together such as acquaintances that they have not seen so long.
Technology influences human beings postively through the possibility of seeing, hearing and talking to them. With the combination of internet and a simple mobile device, it brings them closer as they can interact in their own pace even if theyare not seeing each other. On the other hand, technology negatively affects compromising the human contact. In support to this, technology makes us more less communicative in a way that they lost their non-verbal cues.
