Two bar charts provide information about the percentages of men and women involved in different kinds of household tasks in a country, as well as the average amount of time they spend on these activities each day.
Overall, cooking is the most common household activity for both genders, while house repairs are the least common. Women are more involved in cooking, cleaning and pet care, whereas men do more house repairs.
According to the first chart, around 80% of women cook, compared to about 60% of men. A similar pattern can be seen in cleaning, with approximately 60% of women and 40% of men doing this task. Pet care is more balanced, with about 20% of women and 22% of men participating. In contrast, house repairs are mainly done by men, at roughly 20%, while only about 10% of women are involved.
The second chart show that women spend more time on most household tasks. Women spend approximately 85 minutes per day cooking, compared to 60 minutes for men. For cleaning, females spend around 70 minutes, while males spend about 45 minutes. Both genders spends a similar amount of time on pet care, at around 20 minutes daily. However, men spend slightly more time on house repairs than women.
