I remember one particular time when I given an opportunity to work in a group and it was quite memorable. It happened during my school days when my teacher assigned us a group project on environmental awareness. Our group consisted of five members and we were decided to prepare presentation along with charts and detailed information on the topic. At first I thought it would be an uphill battle because everyone had different ideas and suggestions. However, we decided to divide the work equally so that everyone could contribute. For example, one person was given responsibility to collect information, another design charts while other focus on presentation and in dating, a more of a I was responsible for gathering important points and preparing final part of the presentation. Not only I completed my own task, but I also helped others whenever they need assistance. At first there were some disagreements because everyone wanted their ideas to be accepted. But gradually we understand that teamwork plays much crucial role than individuals’ preferences. Doing the work we also enjoyed because we were sharing ideas, discussing solutions, having fun at the same time. In fact it killed two birds with one stone because we completed our project successfully and strengthened our friendship as well.
