Well, okay, I like to say my university offers a variety of classes, especially those related to my major. We have many professors, one of whom, named Mr. Park, teaches basic skills related to clay. Before the class, he always prepared a new topic and a piece about ceramics. It helped us to prevent feeling sleepy. He had a lot of stories about the history of ceramics. At the time, I realized that it is important to know several aspects of our major. Then I graduated from university and became a graduate student. That was my own decision. Anyway, he became my supervisor in my master's course and asked me to assist in his class. My role was to teach basic skills to my juniors. I remembered my student days and tried to apply his teaching methods. For example, if my junior found it hard to create something, I would tell interesting stories about ceramics, such as, "Do you know Sampyeong Lee? He was the most famous ceramist of the Korea-Joseon dynasty." Or, "Have you heard what materials are used for this clay?" Thanks to this kind of storytelling, I could keep teaching fun for my juniors and maintain their concentration. I think Mr. Park always tried to encourage students not to give up in his class. I realized this and understood why he shared these kinds of stories.
