Overall, the use of mobile dropped to the lowest, while the usage of other forms of information and communication technology witnessed a similar increase when compared to their initial percentages in 1998 with the exception of Wifi not being used until 2003 onwards.

In terms of mobile phone, it was the second common form of ICT in 1998 sitting at around 6 percent. From 1998 to 2006, there was a steady increase over the years going from around 6 percent to 30 percent, an increase by 24 percentage points. Between 2006 and 2007 witnessed its largest increase in a 1-year period going 30 percent to around 45 percent before its biggest downfall in 2008 at 0 percent.
