The processing of the technology helps people a lot. Some people argue that advancing technology will decrease crime rates and prevent criminal activity more easily. From my perspective, I totally agree that those inventions can provide a great assessment for our society, and my reasons will be indicated in the following statements.
First of all, governments do not have enough capacity to deal with enormous illegal events that happen continuously. For instance, in Taiwan, fewer people choose to be police because it is a high-risk career. Therefore, more and more traffic enforcement cameras are installed on the junctions to record and report violations to the control center, and police could lighten their burden. On top of that, this measure did reduce traffic violations and the accident rate.
Secondly, crime’s tricks are getting different from day to day as well. For example, fraud syndicates were used to execute by giving a phone call to the victims. Nonetheless, the users of online dating applications and social media are their main targets, and it is hard to track those liars on the Internet. What’s more, those illegal organizations hired engineers and hackers to help them. Hence, detectives must use high-end electronic devices to solve this situation.
In conclusion, as the criminals’ gimmicks and techniques advance, law enforcement legacies should be armed with stronger weapons to beat them. Thus, I have a hundred percent agreement that the latest technology could decrease and prevent crime rates and activities.
