I actually started dancing when I was only two years old. Obviously at that age it was truly my own decision. My parents were the ones who took me to dance classes. At first it was a simply boring activity, but as I grew older I became more serious about it and gradually got into competitive ballroom dancing. Nowadays I dance several times a week and sometimes even more often than I am prepared for competitions. It can be quite a time consuming and high maintenance hobby because it requires a lot of training, discipline, and physical effort, and also a lot of money. However, I’ve managed to stick with it for many years. What I enjoy more about ballroom dancing is that it allows me to switch off from studying and every day’s worries, hustling, bustle, etc. When I’m dancing I have to focus completely on the music, my partner and my movements so I don’t really have much time to think about anything else. I also love the competitive side of it and the feeling of improving my own skills because it brings me a lot of satisfaction. Even though I’m really passionate about dancing, I don’t plan to pursue it professionally or build my future career around it. I just keep it in keep it as an crucial part of my life and a lifelong passion because for me it’s something I generally enjoy rather than something I want to turn into a job that’s all
