The last time I remember helping someone was probably in May when we had our last exams in the first year of university. And unfortunately my friend did not pass one course and this course was, or passing this course was what she needed to pass the whole year. And I got a really good grade so she asked me to help her because she knew she wasn’t able to study for it alone or if she studied for it alone she wasn’t sure she would pass. And it was very important for her to move to the next year. Thus we met every day for two to three hours where we did, during this time we did a lot of different exercises. I helped her by explaining different concepts or how for instance in my head the way to do this exercise makes sense because sometimes what we read in the books is not as easy to understand as when someone else, our age, explains it to you. So she came to us after helping my friend with passing her exam and after she did pass the exam and managed to move to the next year I felt joy. I was very excited. Moreover she was also very happy and thus we celebrated together. She bought me a coffee and a cake so I believe that it was a very good experience. Moreover it also helped me understand the topic that I was teaching care better so maybe in the future I’ll be able to help other people with this subject.
