I’d imagine sitting next to someone who is answering a call would be more bearable than sitting next to people who are talking together. This is because when someone is talking on the phone, perhaps creates a less noisy atmosphere while when people are talking together simultaneously they will create a much more noisy atmosphere so that seems to be far more irritating and unbearable. On top of that I’d imagine when you sit next to someone who is talking on the phone because you cannot hear the person behind the phone so that will raise your curiosity and make your mind more busy and curious
