Overall, almost every age votes for the Repulicans Party, with the only exception being the 18 to 24-year-olds group. What’s more, the biggest divide can be seen in the age group 35 to 64-year-olds, where the Republicans clearly outpaced the Democrats in terms of votes.
In the year 2016, more than 20% of those aged 35 to 64 casted their vote for the Repulican Party, whereas the results for the same age group were notably lower, ranging from 12.5% to 16% for the Democrats. Nevertheless, the 18 to 24-year-olds group was the exception, where the percentage of voters for the Democrats was greater than for the Republicans, with 24.5% and 18% respectively.
Moving on to the other two groups, where the differences were somewhat smaller. Regarding individuals aged 25 to 34, it’s obvious that they cast their votes more for the Republican Party at 19.3%, rather than for the Democrats at 14%. Concerning individuals aged 65 and above, the percentage of their votes was roughly 18%, which was similar.
