Well, after completing my grade 10, I went to a Lumini with my family. We took a bus from Kathmandu and reached Chitwan, which nearly took 12 hours. We stayed one night in my uncle’s house. Then next afternoon, we continued our trip to Lumini. We were able to reach there at night, so we stayed at the hotel. Next morning, after souring, we went to visit different places located there. It has many old temples and it is well known for the birthplace of Buddha. It is also a holy place and religious place for a Buddhist. In early October, the heat in Tharai was the worst. I couldn’t walk outside without feeling that I was burning. So, we re-rented our three-wheeler vehicle, Karriksa. The highlight for me in this adventure was my debut temple and peace garden. You cannot wear shoes inside it. Once you get in, you can hear chanting from a monk, which is very peaceful to the mind. There is a Bodhi tree, which is also known to be the Ajax birthplace of a Buddha. Besides this, there are many monasteries built by different countries like Japan, China, Bhutan, Thailand and many others. The art and architecture in these monasteries are beautifully done and I really enjoyed visiting this trip.
