This chart provides data about a number of visits to the capitals of Wales and Ireland during a period of 9 years.
It can be clearly seen that the graphs have an opposite trends. There is an upward trend for the number of visitors to Cardiff and a downward trend for their western neighborhood.
First of all, according to the figures, between 2011 and 2013 number of visits to Dublin had a gradual fall. Furthermore, the graph had a slight dip over a period of the next 3 years. However, in 2016, the chart continued to decrease steadily until 2020. Overall, the number of visitors to the capital of Ireland dropped considerably during this period. Starting from almost 4 millions of visitors it declined by a half by 2020.
Secondly, a number of visitors to Cardiff grew marginally between 2011 and 2014. After the chart had a plateau for a year. However, in the year of 2015 it started to drop slightly and in the year of 2018 it reached almost the same number of visitors as in 2011. In spite of this, after figures rocketed dramatically, even almost hit a high of 6 million by the year of 2020.
