A highly controversial issue today relates to whether success in life comes from hard work and determination or from more essential factors such as money and appearance. In this essay, I will examine this question from both views and then explain why I believe hard work and determination take more responsibility for success in life than other factors.
On the one hand, there are people who argue that money and appearance are more important to get successful in life. The main reason for believing this is that money and appearance offer people more chances to learn. This is the fact that the people who have just only money or appearance or even both can be treated more easily than the other who have no one. One good illustration of this is the study abroad, it is easier to obtain courses at one university if they are ready to pay the tuition fee by themselves instead of finding a scholarship that covers all the tuition fees.
On the other hand, others believe that just hard work and determination can offer the success in life. It is often argued that hard work may bring out the successful. People often have this opinion because there are so many successful people who have not only no money but also appearance, what they have is just a hardworking and determination. A particularly good example here is Ronaldo, as in child he had no money also no appearance but just with the hardworking and determination, he now become the most successful football player. A second point is that working hard is the easiest way to make people come to the eye of the superior and can bring out many chances to change lives and become successful.
In conclusion, both arguments have their merits. However, I feel that hard work and determination still is the most important factors someone needs if they want to become successful. This is because hard work is always not abandoned.
