Here I would like to talk about one of my favorite inventions that I find significantly useful in my life, and it is none other than the smartphone or cell phone. I vividly remember that I started to use a mobile phone when I was in my first year of graduation. At that time, my elder brother gifted me a Lava 500. The initial stage was difficult for me because I was not aware of mobile phones and internet connections, but gradually, I asked other people for help, and my elder brother also helped me learn how to operate the mobile phone, use the camera, and search for information on Google and YouTube. Now I can really use my mobile phone in a very positive manner. Being a working woman, I do not have time to go to classes and learn other skills such as cooking and English. During that time, my mobile phone became a boon for me. When I was preparing for my IELTS examination, I used my mobile phone to watch YouTube videos and learn English. I also started practicing the listening test on YouTube. Apart from that, my mobile phone is really helpful for me during my speaking practice. I just recorded myself and listened to my recordings so I could identify errors and try to resolve them in my actual speaking. So, the mobile phone is a really helpful tool for me. It has many good uses; I can always be in touch with my elder brother, who is currently living in Canada. The mobile phone provides me with video call facilities, so I can talk with him once a week. I also use my mobile phone to open a D-Mat account and my savings account. I can say that it is truly a boon for every individual, and I feel happy to have this kind of technology in my hand.
