From my point of view, formal education is absolutely not aimed to give real-life skills to children and not prepare them for real-life challenges. For example, in schools we have so many useless subjects as chemistry and physics, which can be essential only for some narrow specialists who want to become professionals in such a study. But on the other hand, they don’t give children some really useful skills, for example, how to manage their money and how to pay taxes. From my point of view, it will be really useful to know how should I do these actions. Also, it might be quite useful to know how to cook, how to prepare food for yourself, and unfortunately, this doesn’t taught at school at all.
