The line graph compares the production of forest materials, namely paper, wood, pulp and sawn wood, in the UK between 1980 and 2000.
It is clear that the UK forest industry had highest production of paper packaging, while it is lowest production was in wood pulp.Additionally, paper packaging production generally increased over time.
In terms of production, in 1980, the number of forest industry packaging wood pulp and sawn wood was around 175 million tonnes and 200 million tonnes, respectively, it fell to 150 million tonnes and 150 million tonnes in 1990. Forest industry packaging paper and packaging increased by 25 million tonnes from 225 million tonnes to 250 million tonnes.
For the remaining sources, the number of forest industries packaging wood pulp, paper, and packaging increased from 150 million tonnes to 250 million tonnes to around 160 million tonnes, 350 million tonnes, a rise of 10 million tonnes, and 100 million tonnes over a period of 10 years. There was a decrease in the number of forest industry packaging swam wood from 125 million tonnes, a fall of 25 million tonnes between 1990 and 2000.
