group of individuals present the view that university students should pursue their interests by studying what they prefer, whereas others maintain that they should be forced to study majors that can offer benefits in the future. I strongly agree with the former arguments, and the reasons will be outlined.

On the one hand, some people justifiably argue that if students follow what they are interested in at college, they are more likely to become accomplished. In this regard, research findings confirm that the efficiency of students who find their field of study satisfactory is nearly twice as much as that of those who are compelled to pursue a major in higher education. Furthermore, by studying a fond subject, students face fewer challenges to stay motivated; thus, if they face difficulties, they are very likely to overcome them and obtain strong credentials. For instance, a friend of mine who is fond of materials science studies more than ten hours a day and never gives up when some unappealing results are obtained.

On the other hand, another group claims that the government should enforce strict laws so as to ban studying in certain research areas. They insist that dedicating funds as well as spending time on some fields, such as history, is a complete waste of resources and time because they fail to improve the next generations’ standards of living. However, I do not find this argument convincing, as it is believed that history, for example, is full of valuable life lessons that have been passed down from our ancestors; therefore, we should take full advantage of it by encouraging students to gain in-depth knowledge in this field at universities, which can broaden researchers’ horizons to explore unknown domains in the future.

To conclude, in my view, students should not be restricted to study only certain fields. Studying beloved subjects not only can boost their performance but also may open the doors to novel discoveries.

Choosing a university degree is a daunting decision faced by many high school students. While some argue that they should enrol in subjects of their choice, others contend that degrees with practical applications for society, such as science or technology, should be enforced. In this essay, I will consider both perspectives and explain why I believe that young people should be free to follow their passions.

Supporters of studying only scientific or technological subjects usually argue that these are essential for societal advancement. If many more were pursuing biology, medicine, or engineering, for instance, more important breakthroughs would be made in these areas. This means that vaccines for spreadable and deadly diseases, or treatments for incurable chronic illnesses, such as dementia or some cancers, may be developed quicker, saving millions of lives. By prioritizing these areas of knowledge, society as a whole would be better off than if students choose history or art, which, in their view, are less useful matters.

Despite this, others, myself included, do not support the idea of curtailing people’s choices. Many educators are aware that a key role in success and academic performance is interest in the topic. If studying technology in space exploration were mandatory, for example, when their natural talent is music or art, it is unlikely that they would graduate in this field. Even if they were able to obtain the qualification, this may lead to a life of misery and regret, with far-reaching consequences on their mental health. Indeed, the greater the control they have over their lives, the happier they will be.

In conclusion, there is no question that studying subjects that can enhance society’s outcome is important. However, provided that we can only perform our best when working in a field we love, I firmly believe everyone should be allowed to pursue their passion when it comes to selecting their careers.

People are divided in their opinion regarding that all university students can study what they like. On the other hand, some people think that they must study subjects that could be helpful in the future, such as science and tecnology. I am in favor of the first notion. The following essay takes a look at both sides of the argument.

To begin with, Science and tecnology are those subjects that are studied in every college and school. It is very useful for our future. Some people believes that if they studies those subject in school, it could be useful for them to study in those fields such as medical and engineer. However, artistic subjects are very underrated. They are also a good option to choose for higher studies. Still, people are not finding an interesting course. For instance, an article was published by a famous newspaper The Times of India in 2018 which showed that, students go for subjects that are connected to science.

Secondly, several individuals expect that their child should be study in great field similar to an doctor. They gives freedom to their children to choose any kind of subjects, in which they want to pursue their career. For example, a survey conducted by oxford university, found that 67% of students select universities programmas. To mitigate this, government can provide some catalogues that can help students to convice their parents which is good course and bad for their future.

Finally, it is essential for people to understand that a university students are not kids, they are adults. They can manage their life how they want in future. Nowadays, Technology releated subjects are very popular, diverse others subjects, such as painting and agriculture. These subjects could be explored more in schools.

To sum up, although science releated subjects are most selected by students. In spite of this , arts and drawing regarded subjects are not choosed by university students. Some parents belives that if we give right to select their favorite subjects, it could be helpful for their youngsters. They consider as a safe idea.

  6. Cecilia Krauss says:

Some believe that students attending higher education should only be able to study subjects conventionally considered useful for their futures. On the other hand, many (myself included) argue that students should be permitted to explore their interests and study whichever subjects they choose.

Science-related subjects are prioritized in almost all universities. This stems from the enormous value society attributes to them, which is due to the fact that scientific developments, such as revolutionary technological advancements, modern and more efficient architectural structures, and new medicines for previously untreatable diseases, are all dependent on brilliant minds that acquire the necessary knowledge from their college (or graduate school) professors and expand it into newer and more complex concepts and achievements.

Conversely, while scientific and technological knowledge is crucial for society, these are not the only important fields one can venture into after graduating college. Moreover, art-related subjects may be key for a student’s academic development, because they inspire creativity. For instance, music is known to relate to mathematical thinking, and many expert professionals working in conventional fields are also musicians in their spare time. Furthermore, since artistic subjects foster creative thinking, this may facilitate the exploration of diverse issues from new points of view, which may lead to the discovery of new solutions to ancient problems. Additionally, having artistic habits may contribute toward a person’s mental and emotional health. For example, a recent research showed that people who frequently painted or drew were less afflicted with depression and anxiety.

In conclusion, although science-related subjects ought to be the most frequently studied ones at universities, diverse other subjects, such as those related to artistic development, should also be explored, since they objectively improve the undergraduates’ learning experiences.
