  1. Aurang Zaib Sukhera says:

Nowadays, our environment is going through several challenges. It is widely recognised that the major environmental problem is the extinction of specific species of plants and animals. Others, however, consider that there are more serious environmental problems.

Extinction of particular species of plants and animals can have an effect on our ecosystem; however, there are more important issues that need attention. However, thinking about the loss of some particular species cannot help to decrease environmental problems. People should make different ways to decrease pollution for the next generation.

On the one hand, loss of particular species of animals and plants can damage the food chain and it can cause many environmental issues. The whole wipe out of some species can create an imbalance in the whole ecosystem. That can cause an increase in other species population.

On the other hand, individuals should pay more attention to the serious issues such as global warming, air pollution, industrial wastes, release of different gasses, and plastic wastes. Governments should make different strategies to reduce pollution by recycling the wastes of plastics and industrial wastes. People can also reduce global warming by planting more trees, by using public transport, and by reducing different gas emissions. For example, Germany is paying more attention to recycling; that’s why Germany has less pollution than other countries.

In conclusion, extinction of specific species of plants and animals can create an imbalance in the ecosystem by affecting the food chain and that can also cause an increase in other species population; however, other serious ecosystem issues need more attention to decrease pollution.

The problems the earth faces are inevitable. At present there are over a ton of problems that affect our environment. This essay justifies between problem of particular species existinction ,over other bad impacts on environment.Over to me, species extiction can not be treated as a main problem in today’s world.

To begin with a specific species extinction, the main cause could be habitat loss.Plants and animals that lose their natural habitat find survival more challenging, hence its count reduce day by day.For example, Mammoths ,an extinct species of elephant variety that lived millions of years ago gone extinct because of food scarcity. The animal that went out their natural living area(ice cold environment) could not bare the ambient temperature in the forests,so that their lifespan reduced resulting in extinction.Similarly,a loss of particular species can therefore collapse the ecosystem. The effect of this can either be immediate ,or over time.

However, this can not be the only problem.Talking about other serious issues like global warming, emptying of oil resourse, land, water and air pollution and so on ,are more dangerous than the problem of species extinction. For instance, Delhi, the capital city of the country India, is currently suffering from hazardous air quality.Breathing the air above toxic level can damage the body of all living beings including plants, moreover it can collapse the entire ecosystem over that region .Therefore resulting in huge loss of lives, making the place worse for living.

In conclusion, a loss of particular living being can be a problem, whereas it can not be a main problem to consider because of the other serious issues that the world faces currrently.According to me,solutions to problems that have huge consequences should be resolved immedietly, meanwhile other issues should also be prevented in the mean time.

It is argued by some that the most serious environmental concern today is the loss of specific species of plants and animals, while others believe that there are wider environmental issues that require attention. I contend that resolving urgent environmental challenges is a better strategy for both humanities and other species, and this essay will discuss both views and my position.
On the one hand, the extinction of plant and animal species is a critical issue. Biodiversity plays an essential role in maintaining balanced ecological systems, lacking this will lead to a disruption of the food chain or food insecurity. For instance, a significant decline in bee populations will result in a dramatic reduction in crop yields that rely on bee pollination. Moreover, a loss of biodiversity can lead to a higher risk of disease due to a surge in populations of disease-carrying animals, enabling viruses or bacteria to spread to humans more rapidly.
On the other hand, many people argue that broader environmental issues are more important because they affect both nature and human life on a larger scale. Climate change can be a good example. It affects various global dimensions, such as rising temperature and sea-level rise, which increase the likelihood of natural disasters impacting all life within the ecosystems. Another major environmental concern is air contamination. There has been a noticeable increase in the number of toxic gases, due to the rapid expansion of environmentally unfriendly industries. Higher levels of air contamination, particularly PM 2.5, significantly impact humans and increase the risk of lung cancer, leading to loss of life.
In conclusion, while species extinction is a severe concern, from my point of view, tackling broader environmental problems is more essential. If societies do not take effective action on these issues, they may lead to negative consequences for humanity and nature.

  4. Zafar says:

In recent years, the severity of today’s environmental problems has become a subject of considerable debate. Some argue that today’s main issues are detrimental to certain species, while others contend that greater environmental problems demand attention.
Personally, I side with the opinion that more urgent challenges are more significant than the extinction of animals and plants.
This essay will examine both perspectives before justifying my viewpoint.

On the one hand, many people support the idea that nowadays a vital problem is the disappearance of animal species and the decline of biodiversity. This is because it can lead to ecosystem disruption. In addition, the loss of vegetation can negatively affect the pharmaceutical industry. Consequently, ecosystem disruption may result in habitat loss and damage to ecotourism.
For example, the decline in reptiles in sandy areas of Karakalpakstan has led to an increase in rodents, which eat crops and cause damage to farmers.
Staying within the Karakalpakstan region, another important point can be highlighted: the drying up of the Aral Sea can lead to a drastic decline in bird, fish, and other wildlife populations.

On the other hand, it is often argued that other environmental challenges are more critical. Advocates of this position believe that the ecosystem has adequately problems such as global warming and air pollution. In summer, almost 45-47 °C heat waves seriously harm the health of people. For example, water shortage increases due to drought. In Sirdarya, the Jizzakh water regime is limited.
Furthermore, dumping waste in the Zarafshan River can be a dangerous case since villagers have to boil water and drink it, and are afflicted with allergies, which are increasing day by day

In conclusion, while the extinction of species is a serious concern, I believe that other environmental challenges, such as climate change, water scarcity, and pollution, have more urgent consequences and should be addressed as a priority.

  5. Fatemah says:

At the present day, our environment is going through various challenges. It is widely believed that currently the major problem of our environment is the extinction of particular species of plants and animals. Some people argue that apart from these issues there are some other environmental problems which require greater attention, and I also agree with this stance.

On the one hand, people find that the loss of certain animal and plant species requires more attention than any other contemporary issue. Complete wipe out of some species could create an imbalance in nature. This approach can impose greater threat to the food chain and food web, which can ultimately affect the diet of various animals and humans as well. Moreover, one species keeps in control the population of another species; when particular family is lost, it could have a profound impact on the overall balance of the ecosystem. Meanwhile, one category provides benefits to the other class; for instance, woodpeckers have the ability to create holes in plant stems, these holes are used as habitat by those animals who cannot create their own shelter.

On the other hand, certain people believe apart from animals and plants there are some other issues which are matter of great concern. Our planet is facing pressing issues like global warming, air and water pollution, waste management, and many more. Furthermore, these problems can cause damage to our planet far more than our imagination, and our coming generation will pay a heavy price for our negligence. According to recent research on plastics, about 75 to 200 million tons of plastic is being disposed of in our oceans, and the figure is expected to increase in near future.

In my opinion, our environment is facing various issues, and all these problems need urgent attention, all these above issues are just the tip of an iceberg. Therefore, instead of giving full attention to the loss of plants and animal species, all problems need equal recognition.

To put it in a nutshell, the issue of the extinction of certain animals and plants is not the only setback faced by our planet; instead, there are many more pressing issues like that.

  6. Cecilia Krauss says:

While some argue that losing specific plant and animal species is the main environmental issue, other people, myself included, believe that other aspects of the environmental discussion are bigger causes for concern.

The loss of many diverse plant and animal species, such as some Amazonian trees and the iconic dodo’s entire population, is certainly tragic and should be mourned. However, while new means of conserving endangered species and avoiding additional losses are paramount, the increasing amount of gas and water pollution is an emblematic example of a significant number of more urgent environmental concerns. In fact, the higher the level of polluted gas and water, the worse people’s health becomes. This leads to an elevated rate of respiratory diseases, as well as skin and immunologic illnesses. Moreover, the growing global human population poses a real threat to the environment, since most partake in the current throwaway, high-consumption culture, which clearly adversely affects it.

Consequently, these issues may lead to a possible catastrophic end of civilization as we know it. In fact, this is directly related to the greenhouse effect, a change in the now highly polluted oceans’ water properties, the alarmingly rising amount of waste produced each year, and a progressively greater scarcity of food and other essential resources.

In conclusion, although losing diversity through the extinction of a growing number of animals and plants should never be considered trivial, this concern is outweighed by some even scarier issues, such as global warming, sea pollution, air quality, and the increasing number of human births each year.
