  1. Nimra Ahmad says:

In today’s world, an enormous number of individuals with health issues are trying alternative medications and treatments rather than visiting their usual physician. From my perspective, it has a huge adverse effect on their health.

Taking alternative medicines and treatments for various kinds of health issues can lead to numerous health problems which can be hazardous and risky sometimes. Primarily, taking of alternatives sometime has various side effects without the prescription of a doctor. People who does medication rather than consulting with the doctor may face many health issues such as the gastric problems, allergy issues and other skin problems as well. For instance, when a person take medicines for a particular kind of health problem without consulting a doctor, it might be possible that the individual get some allergy or stomach issues due to the usage of that particular kind of alternaative.

Secondly, using an alternative and not consulting to a doctor may reduce the health problem temporarily. However, it can leave an adverse and long term effect on the person’s health. It might be the reason that a person has some other issue and he/she is taking wrong alternatives. To illustrate, a person is taking medictaions of chest pain without the consultation of a physician, but may be some heart disorder is the reason of the pain..

In conlusion, trying alternative medicines and cure without consultation might has some temporary positive effects, but the negative effects are more and adverse. Taking wrong medication can sometimes cause severe and permanent health detrimentals. Individuals should first consult with a doctor and take medicines accordingly.

  2. Ahmed Elhadari says:

Today, the idea of curing health problems with alternative medicines and some natural plants irrespective visiting a real doctor is growing among individuals with health issues. I strongly see this as a negative development, because some diseases require being seen by a doctor and the alternatives might cause more issues.

People with serious diseases must visit their usual doctor, because they know how to treat them in the right way. And this makes healing easier for people, some should not be treated with those alternatives, especially elderly and children, because their immunity is weak and risking their lives by not going to a specialist is not acceptable. Although all the downsides these alternatives are helpful to people who are afraid of chemical products.

The alternatives might make more problems, because they might be taken by someone who has not studied how human bodies work and the chemical interactionts inside us. For example, if someone whose temperature is high was given some natural plants from the alternative medicine, the problem may be worth. The main reason for this is he might be alergic to those plants. Moreover, this trend will help in spreading a wrong idea about medicine, because people might think that there is a real alternative to drugs. In addition, this idea will affect doctors negatively, as people will focus on something cheaper and not chemical.

In conclusion, some people think that they can replace medicine with something else, but I do not agree with them because we can not risk our lives by trying new treatments, which are not tested yet. (band 6)

  3. Mahmood Muthanna says:

There is no denying the fact that taking medicine without visiting a doctor has become one of the debated issues in recent years. While some people believe that taking medication without consulting a doctor is acceptable, there is an opposing opinion that challenges this view. However, I firmly believe that it is a negative step because it plays a crucial role in destroying human health.

To begin with, having alternative treatments without paying a visit to a doctor represents a major concern that cannot be overlooked. In other words, this practice has bad consequences to people’s health in the long-term, and such medicine alternatives may eventually lead to death. In addition, taking wrong medications without prescriptions may create new sicknesses, which will cause long-lasting harm to the human body. For example, in the past, many people suddenly died trying alternative medicines in my city.

Another disadvantage worth considering is that every medicine has negative effects alongside its positive outcomes, since this aspect influences people’s health in various ways. Moreover, each human body requires special treatment, and most bodies are allergic to some medicines. As a result, people should not act as doctors when it comes to healing illnesses. For instance, many old people act as if they are doctors when they see a sick person, as this practice brings more problems than solutions to the sick people.

In conclusion, despite people having different opinions regarding this problem, I tend to believe that all individuals have to see a doctor whenever they feel sick, as it not only ensures a healthy life but also minimises the negative effects of taking alternative medicines and treatments.

  4. Fatemah says:

In the contemporary world, people’s lifestyle is improving day by day; with the help of innovative technologies, at the same time, individuals’ health is declining due to various reasons, such as pollution, unhealthy food, and prolonged exposure of the body to detrimental radiations. Whenever, people feel something unusual in their body, they immediately start taking medications on the basis of their own knowledge instead of consulting with doctors. From my point of view, this approach solely leads to negative impacts on health.

To begin with, there is a common trend among people: when they feel something fishy regarding their health, they simply move towards the easiest solution, mainly herbal tea or medicines and stick with it. Undoubtedly, people often feel positive results by using these types of solutions, but their effect is temporary. In the long run, without proper diagnosis situation can become even worse, which can lead to deadly diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and even cancer.

Secondly, individuals prefer to take any synthetic medicine which they find at home instead of going to the doctor, and sometimes they impulsively take another person’s dose. For instance, my classmate died because of incorrect medicine. One day, she suddenly started feeling chest pain and her mother insisted she take her medicines, as her mother was also a heart patient; this minor mistake took her precious life.

Meanwhile, some diseases show no symptoms initially, like cancer, which is widely known as a silent killer. That is why everybody should do their body inspection weekly and visit a doctor if they feel any unusual signs; otherwise, they can end up paying a heavy price for a small mistake. Such circumstances are a wake-up call for laypersons, and there is a proper need for awareness through walks, social media platforms, and webinars.

  5. Yeşim Ege says:

In the contemporary world, many people with health problems are trying alternative medicines and treatments instead of going to their local doctor.

May people don’t trust their doctors for their health methods, or maybe they believe they can find more efficient alternative treatments. From my perspective, alternative treatments are as good as local doctors, but if someone tries to pick a side, I can say both of them are beneficial for us, and it should be in balance. This essay will examine both positive and negative sides of this topic.

Positive sides of the alternative health services are that people don’t need too much money to become healthy. For instance, some countries have high prices for health systems, and many people are trying to find other options like acupuncture, health massages, herbal teas, and chiropractics. Additionally, these options have massive success rates. The second is that other health services have long time for their clients. One treatment session can last up to 1 hour per person, whereas, in many countries, doctors have 5 minutes for each person. For instance, in my country, if people need to go to a hospital, they should take a rotation number, then they probably wait for days, and when they go to a hospital, doctors just have 5 or 10 minutes for each person.

When it comes to negative sides, many people may believe every disease will recover with treatments. However, that is not. Hospitals are built for us, and doctors are detecting other health risks in our bodies. Also, many citizens have cancer, vertigo, or other sicknesses, and if they choose other medicaments or treatments, it may be hazardous when used without knowing. It should be a professional, and we shouldn’t trust every health treatment centre.

To sum up, this essay has shown positive and negative sides of health alternatives. Therefore, I recommend that you can use both of them, but at first, you should ask your doctor about it. [Band 7]

  6. Zibah Ijeje says:

In recent years, more individuals with health-related issues often use herbal drugs rather than attending medical appointments because of their affordability. This essay will examine the negative effects of this development.

first of all, one of the reason is to weaken the immune system. Most individuals prefer to use matural drugs becuase it is cheap and afforable whereby they tend to rely that it provides the basic nutritional value to the body. for instance, most natural drugs that are being influenced by their peers does not provide the nutrient that the body needs. as a results, they weaken the body system resulting to loss of human lives or lead to severe illness such as repiratory diseases.  Moreover, relying on alternative medicine can lead to inappropriate human prescription. Many people beleive that most of these drugs curb their illness which encourage them to consult an unqualified practioner. these practioners provide these drugs that their body cannot contain. for instance, an inexperienced practioner might give a person drugs without further prescription or instructions on how it is being taken. In addition, individual who are unaware might take overdose resulting to serious health issues.

On the other hand, relying on alternative drugs reduces productivity. most locally made drugs often get expired without any medical label.. when a practioner gives an expired drugs to an individual, they might not be able to work efficiently. for instance, when a person takses a drug that is less effective, they might struggle to mutltask in their job. similarly, loosing focus  and spend less time in their work responsibilties. Furthermore,  it can result to health complication. an individual who rely on ineffective drugs may suffer from health conditions resulting to them spending money on medical bills.

In conclusion,  although althernative drugs weaken the immune system and result in health complications,  individual should consult a medical profession if these drugs is suitable for their body to avoid health risk.

  7. Chloe says:

It is true that people today are increasingly exposed to a wide range of medicines and treatments instead of depending on their family doctor. Although various kinds of medicine ensure people certain benefits, the drawbacks of relying on those are more significant, as it can cause damage to people’s health.

On the one hand, people can benefit from certain advantages by taking different medicines or treatments. One major reason is that patients now have access to advanced medical treatments rather than traditional practices, since such methods are rigorously investigated and tested by highly qualified scientists and doctors. Moreover, applying different and advanced medicines ensures people’s diseases improve in a short period, as they combine and formulate with upgraded technology. For instance, when Covid disease expanded globally, no traditional methods could replace the new medicines developed for that virus, but the methods produced nowadays can replace and cure people in effective ways.

On the other hand, monitoring their health problems with alternative doctors is a negative development. People should be given certain treatments by their private physicians, since they are fully aware of the types of medicines that their patients are allergic to. Consequently, if we repeatedly change the doctors or medicine that we take, it can influence our health negatively. For instance, people can face drawbacks such as the recovery time taking longer than before or receiving toxic effects from combining various kinds of medicine, causing damage to their life.

In conclusion, while taking a wide range of medical checkups and exposing oneself to the latest medicines can assure people better results and a short recovery time, the drawbacks of those outweigh them, since it can affect people’s lives with a longer recovery period.

  8. Ahmet Kacici says:

In recent years, more individuals are turning to alternative medicines and treatments rather than relying on their doctors for their health issues This trend has sparked debate about whether it represents a positive or negative development.

On one hand, the rise of alternative medicine can be viewed positively. Many people seek holistic methods that take into account their overall well-being, not just the symptoms of an illnesses. Practices, such as acupuncture, herbal remedies, yoga, or medidation have helped people to alleviate stress, chronic pain, and other conditions. Moreover, these treatments can often be more affordable and accesible than conventional healthcare, especially in regions with limited medical resources. In addition, the growing interest in these methods also reflects greater health awarenesses and a desire for self-care among the population.

By contrast, there are significant drawbacks to this development. The effectivenessand safety of many alternative treatments still lack scientific support. Inividuals who rely on unproven methods may delay seeking profesional medical advice, potentially leading to worsening health conditions. In some cases, alternative remedies might interact negatively with prescribed medicines or mask series illnesses. Furthermore, without prober regulation, there is a risk of unethical practitioners taking advantage of people by making deceptive promises.

To sum up, while the exploration of alternative medicines offer certain benefits, such as holistic care and increased health results, it also poses risks if adopted without proper guidance. Ultimately, I belive that it is of paramount importance that individuals should consult with a qualified healthcare  profesionals before making crucial desicions about their health and to view alternative therapies as supportive additions, not replacements, for conventional medical treatment.

  9. abeer says:

Many people with health issues are replacing doctor visits with alternative medicines. I believe that it is a risky behaviour which leads to deterioration of health conditions.

The majority of herbal medications are very dangerous to our health if used randomly specially, while having current underlying disease. Although some elderly believe that garlic is a magical treatment, using garlic with Asprin can cause heart attack. These two have an opposit effect, which alter the blood circulation in the body. Another prime Example is ginger which is the most commonly used herb worldwide. Despite ginger has an antioxident properties, it can irritate the stomach wall and worsen gastric problems such as gastritis.

In addition, the hygiene of some non medical remedies such as oils and cosmetic creams is hardly confirmed. Poor storage and lack of safety standrads during preparation of this products can have a remarkable negative impact on our bodies. Permenant pigmentation is one of the long term complications of inappropriate usage of these recipes on the skin. Another point to consider is herbalist qualifications. Greater number of practitoners are illitrate; therefore, they do not have a license to work.

In conclusion, while many have different views on this matter, I truly believe that there are massive downsides to relay on alternative treatments which result in a detrimental long term problems. Social media has a vital role in promoting old ways of treating, thus the government officials needs to supervise the internet content and increase the community awareness about healthy practices.

  10. tanbin omy says:

Over the past decade, we have witnessed significant developments in the medical field, so people with diseases often try to find alternative treatments instead of visiting their usual doctors, hoping that they will find a better cure. In my opinion, this has both positive and negative implications, depending on individual situations.

There are several reasons why people try to explore different medicines and treatments. Firstly, with advancements in technology, medical treatments are improving day by day, so when people find that their regular treatments are not curing their illness or health problem, they try to find advanced treatment. This could have a positive knock-on effect if the person finds better medicines to cure their problems permanently. Secondly, people sometimes believe that doctors who use technological skills in treatment are better than regular doctors, so they prefer to take treatments from them. Moreover, because people want instant cures for any health problem, and they do not understand that medicines take time to work properly, they tend to change doctors instead of following one treatment from a doctor.

Conversely, along with the positive impact, there are also some drawbacks. To cure their illness, people sometimes undergo extreme treatments, which can also be addressed by regular treatments. In that case, they might face detrimental consequences in the future regarding their health. For example, one of my relatives went to a fake doctor after seeing a poster where they claimed to cure any health problems. At the end of the day, his illness showed no improvement, but he faced a significant loss of money.

In conclusion, although people are increasingly inclined toward advanced treatments, hoping to find a cure for their health problems, they should be aware of the ramifications of any treatment that is unsuitable for them.
