In the contemporary world, in a growing number of countries, people are living longer lives than in the past. Some individuals argue that an elder community develops issues for governments. Other humans consider there are benefits if society has more aged people. I personally think that the advantages of this tendency outweigh the disadvantages for some reasons.

First of all, an elder generation of people is very beneficial for younger ones, because older adults are more experienced than young adults. Their advice can be much more useful than someone’s opinion. As an example, the position of an older generation is mostly highly respected, such as Bill Gates, who is known as the founder of the Microsoft company, and for the youth he is an idol for them, and there are lots of aged people which are giving benefits not only for humans but also for governments though.

In contrast, there are some drawbacks for governments. While people grow, their health is getting uncomfortable. Individuals who are aged more than sixty-five should be retired, but in governments it is not working like that, and it can damage the situation of the country. For instance, Joe Biden, the past president of the United States, was around seventy and his steps for government were incorrect, and the people were always reporting him because of his unremarkable thoughts. His age was not suitable for this stuff.

In conclusion, aged people are very important to our community, and while sometimes they can make some problems for governments, I consider that their assets are more than their disadvantages.

In recent years, life expectancy has improved drastically in numerous countries, leading to an increasing older population within their demographic society. Some argue that ageing society presents significant challenges for governments, while others state that having many older people can have social benefits. This essay will discuss both of the views while giving my opinion that the advantages of having older citizens outweigh the disadvantages.

On one hand, the increasing older population creates financial burdens for the government. Living longer does not necessarily equate to a good quality of life. Many senior people have chronic illnesses as they age, which in turn increases medical costs. In addition, countries with greying populations tend to have a shortage of young workers, hindering overall national productivity. For example, pension rates and the medical budget are strained due to the imbalance caused by greying society. Hence, senior populations put pressure on financial and healthcare systems. Although these are serious issues, these remain manageable through policy reform.

On the other hand, ageing populations comes with many positive social benefits. Senior professionals come with valuable experience and wisdom. Many people rely on their transferable knowledge to advance their career opportunities. Furthermore, the intergenerational family can support each other, particularly in childcare. The grandparents often help to take care of their grandchildren, allowing the parents to work with no added stress. Moreover, the extension of lifespan reflects the scientific advancements and economic progress in many countries. For example, many indigenous wisdoms in this world, such as parenting techniques, traditional medicine, and spiritual ceremonies, has been passed down by our wise elderly.

Thus, for the aforementioned reasons, it is clear that older populations have positive developments overall. In conclusion, while the increase of ageing populations can bring many challenges, the advantages are too significant to ignore.

  3. Shahariyar Tahir says:

In several nations, the life span of inhabitants is higher than before. Few individuals argue older community causes difficulties for governments. In my opinion, the older community teach our youth perfectly, and protects our children from violence and sexual abuse. Furthermore, high proportion of elder community is increasing the population of country and dependent on their children.

Shifting towards merits, it is considered that grey hair people protect their child from sexual abuse, violence, and teach them how to play a positive role in society. In other words, older masses are present almost in every home when their child disobey the rules, they strictly prohibit them which is a positive thing and always protect them from negative peoples. Furthermore, they give motivation to youngsters and tell them how to maintain your personal hygiene. For Instance, a survey conducted in Pakistan in 2016, 70% old people guided their pupils to follow the government instructions about traffic. So, as a result elder community play crucial role in our society.
    Band 6
Further discussing the second review, too much ageing communities are increasing the population of countries which results few opportunities for youngsters in the job market. Moreover, in some countries, it is noticed that gree hairs peoples dependent on their children which cause financially burden. For Example, In Nigeria older community doesn’t work, and they relay on their child which is not a good thing. So , as a result dependency on children cause financial burden on them.

Overall, it is vivid that older populations play a positive role in society and also increase the population of country.

In the modern era, older people can create problems and provide benefits for our society. Some individuals argue that aging populations in our society create more problems for local authorities, while others argue that older individuals bring more benefits to society. In my opinion, the positives that elderly citizens bring to our life outweigh the disadvantages.

On the positive side, senior citizens act as a bridge to the past, preserving cultural heritage and providing emotional stability to the nuclear family. For example, if one works in a job that needs them to communicate with elderly individuals, but they had grandparents with whom they spoke daily from an early age, that means they know how to speak with this generation. Therefore, the skills that they practiced from a young age now help them.

Secondly, the grandchildren of families who have grandmothers or grandfathers are polite, smart, and know a lot of things, such as life experiences or vocabulary that was used decades ago. Therefore, these children earn a lot of respect from their friends, colleagues, and teachers, which helps them in building invaluable relationships and cooperation with others in the future.

On the downside, a burgeoning elderly population can place a significant strain on the national budget. As the ratio of retirees to active workers increases, the government must allocate vast resources to healthcare and pension schemes. This often leads to a higher tax burden on the younger workforce and may result in economic stagnation, as funds are diverted away from infrastructure and innovation to support the aging demographic.

To conclude, elderly individuals in a country have both advantages and disadvantages, but the benefits of having them outweigh the drawbacks.

In recent years, the lifespans of people are more extensive than ever before. Some people believe that an increasing population of elders brings several challenges for governments. On the other hand, others argue that this trend yields positive impacts on society. In this essay, both views will be discussed, and I will explain why I assert that the benefits of having an ageing population prevail over the drawbacks of it.

On the one hand, an ageing population leads to serious economic struggles for the government. As the proportion of older people increases, public spending on pensions, healthcare, and social welfare rises dramatically. This can place a large burden on the working-age population, who must support this phenomenon by paying higher taxes. Moreover, the shrinking workforce may reduce productivity and slow economic growth, making it harder for governments to maintain high living standards. Supporters of this perspective contend that the number of older people hinders developing countries from moving towards greater and more intense development.

On the other hand, critics of this view highlight its potential to yield a multitude of benefits. Older people are recognized as wise people who possess acquired knowledge with practical experience. That is why they can mentor young people who have learned about theoretical improvement. Similarly, an ageing society encourages youths to explore holistic expertise and hands-on experience through the speeches of older people. This means an ageing population should be regarded as a potent catalyst to create more sustainable and harmonious environments.

In my opinion, although a continuous rate of elderly people offers some adjustments and concerns, its advantages should be placed on greater importance. A balanced approach, where the positive consequences of having an ageing population exist with well-managed systems of government.

In conclusion, this trend allows the government to expose the difficulties in annual revenue and funding. By contrast, older people play vital roles in passing on practical experience and guidance, all of which are valuable attributes for the future of next generations. Therefore, I strongly affirm that governments should focus more on the management, maintaining the importance of an ageing population.

  6. Muhammad Hamza says:

In many societies, the elderly occupy a significant position that contributes to the community’s overall well-being. While it is true that several nations are experiencing an increase in life expectancy, some individuals argue that an ageing population poses challenges for governments. Conversely, others assert that the presence of more senior citizens brings substantial benefits to society. This essay will discuss the advantages of an ageing population and provide relevant examples to support these perspectives.

Firstly, an ageing demographic can foster social growth and development. Older individuals possess a wealth of experience and wisdom, enabling them to offer valuable insights and guidance that can help mitigate societal challenges. For instance, in China, where many individuals live well beyond the age of a century, the elders are revered and cared for by their families. This cultural emphasis on respect for the elderly contributes to the nation’s status as one of the largest and most robust economies in the world. Their extensive knowledge and life experiences bolster the establishment and progress of the country.

Furthermore, the elderly play a pivotal role in nurturing well-mannered societies by imparting important life lessons to younger generations. A community with a higher proportion of senior citizens is often more organized and safer, as they typically emphasize the importance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship. For example, Japan is renowned for its large elderly population, which is a contributing factor to its reputation as one of the cleanest and safest countries globally, boasting the highest life expectancy. The presence of senior citizens is, therefore, instrumental in maintaining peace and order within regions.

In conclusion, elderly individuals significantly benefit society by promoting social cohesion, environmental care, and overall peace. Their contributions are essential for the development and growth of any nation, proving that the advantages of an ageing population substantially outweigh the disadvantages.

In recent years, people in many countries have been living longer than before. Some people argue that this creates problems for governments, while others believe that there are positive impacts if society has a larger elderly population. While an ageing population brings certain challenges, I believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Examining the brighter side of an ageing population, the foremost advantage is the experience, knowledge and skills of elderly people. For instance, retired professionals can mentor young employees or provide guidance based on decades of work experience. Moreover, older people are often better at solving problems and making careful decisions. This is particularly important in fields such as education, healthcare and management, where qualifications and experience play a crucial role. Furthermore, older family members often take care of their grandchildren, allowing parents to focus on their careers. As a result, an ageing population can remain a valuable asset rather than a burden to society.

However, there are also some disadvantages of an ageing population. To begin with, one significant drawback is the increased pressure on healthcare systems, as older people usually require more medical care. In addition, as the number of retirees rises, the workforce may shrink, which can slow economic growth and create financial problems for governments. For example, an ageing population can place a heavy burden on pension systems and working-age taxpayers.

In conclusion, although an ageing population presents some challenges, I am convinced that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages overall, mainly due to the valuable experience and knowledge that older people contribute to society.

Although, in several countries, extending life span is considered a burden to their governments because they need to pay an old-age pension without  making any contribution to the country’s economy. However, in my opinion the vast experience of these old-aged people benefits a lot in advisory roles, and it outweighs other disadvantages.

The primary benefit of having elders in society is their knowledge spectrum and deep experience in diverse fields, which cannot be assumed to be derived from younger people. The government should take proper initiative to place these retired professionals into the right place and position where they are expected to share their lifetime research with companies, so the new generation will get most of it. To give an example, an old finance manager can be appointed as a financial advisor in a bank or any BNPL company, or an artist can train younger strugglers who are seeking the help of someone experienced from the industry. Similarly, we have other occupations which can be led by elders.

In contradiction, many people believe these adults are not contributing to the country’s outcome, so they are assumed to be a financial burden for the government. Because when people reach a certain age, in developed countries, they have a rule of initiating the old-age monthly funds because they are considered non-working or retired employees. Studies have shown that, in Europe, around 70,000 retired employees are getting monthly benefits from the government without taking any part in economic progress.

To sum up, we have discussed different opinions about increasing elders in society, how governments are issuing pension funds without any noticeable involvement in economic growth; in contrast, many old-age professionals have highly marked achievements by providing consultancy to younger people in diverse professions, which undoubtedly have more weight than disadvantages.

  9. Mamoona Altaf says:

In recent years, the development of medical technology has played a pivotal role in curing vital diseases consequently, it assists in encouraging the citizens healthcare in each country. Some individuals raise the issue that humans in this era have a longer lifespan than the past, while others argue that the aging society creates burdens on the official system.

To embark on, the perspective the communities which consist of more elderly generations than younger age groups are the norm in many nations because of medical advancements and widespread healthcare services. In addition, some diseases, such as coronavirus and plague could be prevented by vaccination and pharmaceutical technology, besides these methods are critical factors to lengthen the human aging period. Moreover, having elder generations in societies can strengthen bonds and relationships within families. Furthermore, younger generations particularly adolescents, can receive valuable insights from ancestors that lead to harmonized communities. For instance, Japan is a nation where inhabitants in the age group of eighty and more are very common this appearance may foster the Japanese culture and way of life which help them to live as healthy and fit.

On the other hand, an aging society situation nowadays could develop burdens on the national budget to a number of nations. Many governments in the Scandinavian region, who select a welfare system to subsidize their residents healthcare and have realized the efficient ways to collect charity from populations for the finance department. Besides, these budgets have to be allocated to protect the health system in each nation instead of being utilized to invest in the infrastructure, namely, highways, ports, and educational institutes.

To conclude, an aging society can attribute the warm relationships to communities that can strengthen bonds to fundamental entities of a nation, even though this circumstance might create burdens on the government’s financial system. From my perspective, the benefits of having elder-aged ranges outweigh the drawbacks.

    band 9:
In many countries, people are now living longer than ever before. This has raised significant concerns among some individuals, who argue that the increasing elderly population can cause major problems for the government. Conversely, many believe that an ageing population can be beneficial. This essay will examine both perspectives before arguing that the advantages of this population outweigh the drawbacks.

On one hand, governments are required to allocate substantial funds to the healthcare system for the elderly in order to maintain their overall well-being. Older age groups are more prone to chronic health problems and face a decline in cognitive abilities, such as memory loss. Therefore, governments must dedicate a significant budget to invest in public health programs and specialized healthcare facilities to address this demand, leading to considerable pressure on national budgets. Consequently, the financial burden associated with meeting the needs of an ageing population is a major concern.

However, this perspective may overlook the global recognition that an elderly population can bring to a country, as a substantial number of older citizens often reflects a nation’s clean environment, effective healthcare, and healthy lifestyle. Japan, for instance, is globally recognized for promoting a balanced diet, active lifestyle, and community engagement, all of which contribute to its exceptional life expectancy. In this sense, an ageing population can often be viewed as a national success in multiple areas.

Additionally, an ageing population brings significant cultural and social advantages. Older generations hold decades’ worth of wisdom, traditions, and real-world experience. For example, many retirees spend their leisure time volunteering or participating in campaigns to guide the younger generation. Their guidance can help younger individuals make informed decisions and avoid potential pitfalls in life. This intergenerational exchange strengthens social bonds and fosters a deeper sense of identity and community.

In conclusion, although increasing life expectancy can require substantial government funding to support elderly citizens, the benefits that this age group brings to society, such as international recognition and invaluable guidance, outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, an ageing population should be regarded as an asset rather than a burden.
