During a solo trip I took a few years ago I run into a big problem. My budget was way too tight and I wasn’t sure how I can I could afford accommodation for the rest of the journey. Instead of panicking I looked for creative solutions and discovered couch surfing. I signed up and connected with local hosts and ended up staying there with a few incredible kind people who opened their homes to the travelers. To give something back I joined their volunteering activities like exchanging language, language exchanging events or helping at community garden which not only saves my money but also I gained unforgettable memories and in the end not only in the end I also made amazing local friends and unforgettable memories. It taught me that with a bit of creativity even tight situations can turn into something really special.
