When it comes to an item that I would like to pick up overseas, the first one that pops up in my mind is saffron. As you probably know saffron is a very well known medicinal herb which is native in a Persian Gulf. It can be found in Iran, Iraq or other countries like Kuwait or Jordan and if I have a chance I’ll definitely pick it up at the local bazaar because it is very versatile. You know it’s actually an additive and once we can use it for our cooking, every dish made from it can fit for King due to its unique taste. On top of that, as a fragrance, just a few drops of essential oils extracted from saffron can lend the whole room a very calming vibe. But what makes it stand out from any other botany is that it can be used as a medicine as well. Thanks to saffron it has been easier than ever to treat various dangerous diseases like cancers or depression. That is the reason why I want to pick up saffron at any cost to use this as a gift from my teachers who is inherently an expert in medicinal plants so that he can develop a further study about the plant and of course it is also a fascinating way to use saffron as a gift from my parents as well.
