With the multi-faceted improvements and innovations in the world, English is becoming globally used. I agree to some extent that the global spread of English can be a free international language, not least because English is becoming indispensable in science, education, international communication, and business. Many people, especially the younger generation, have started using this language, gradually forgetting and displacing their own native languages. Moreover, English is commonly spoken in many tourist destinations, making it easier for travelers to navigate new places and communicate with each other. However, this can instigate some issues, including but not limited to the loss of cultural identity and even the disappearance of some national languages.
