I definitely think that authors can bring social change to our society. First of all, they have the power to frame things. There are so many ambiguous concepts in our world that are still yet to be discovered and described. Also, there are a lot of misused terms, for example, racism, which has been a real hot potato in our society. I feel like authors have the power to redefine them, which is extremely important for our language to evolve. Authors can also bring social change by raising awareness about important issues. They can use their stories to shed light on social injustices and inspire people to take action. For example, a novel about the struggles of immigrants could help people understand the challenges they face and encourage them to advocate for their rights. Ultimately, authors have the power to shape our understanding of the world and inspire us to create a more just and equitable society.
