Yes, one concept of being an actor is job stability. Many new actors suffer from having no roles, resulting in long periods of financial and emotional stress. The downside is the sacrifice of private life. They are exposed to the public and have to manage their image. Also, they have less time for family and suffer from an irregular routine and frequent travel.
