A book that I enjoyed reading is The Witches by Rode Dahl. I read this book back in primary school. I don’t exactly remember what the plot is about because it has been a while since I read it, but I would say the gist of it. It tells the story of a boy living in a world where there are all sorts of mythical creatures and mythical beings such as witches and it’s how he was kidnapped and eventually managed to escape. I read the book as part of my reading class that I took back in school. So each of the students were required to borrow a book from the library and we were to read it at home and this was the book that I had chosen. I really enjoyed it so much because the writing was very masterful and the world building was made it very believable. As a kid I remember feeling terrified reading it. It convinced me that witches were real and I would say that it’s the perfect book to read as a kid because it allows me to imagine all sorts of things.
