A book that significantly changed my perspective is Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. It's partly an autobiography and partly a psychological exploration of how people can find purpose even in the darkest of circumstances. Frankl, who survived Nazi concentration camps, explains that what kept people alive was not physical strength, but rather the sense that their life still had meaning. I decided to read this book because a close friend recommended it at a time when I was struggling with motivation. I was feeling frustrated with some personal setbacks, and my friend thought it might help me see things differently. Before reading, I often believed that happiness came mainly from external achievements like career success or financial stability. I assumed that once I reached certain milestones, I would naturally feel fulfilled. However, after finishing the book, my perspective shifted completely. I realized that fulfillment doesn't necessarily come from material accomplishments, but from the meaning we attach to our lives and the way we respond to suffering. Frankl's idea that we can't always control our circumstances, but we can control our attitude struck me deeply. Now, whenever I face challenges, I try to focus less on the problem itself and more on how I choose to handle it. In short, this book didn't just inspire me temporarily; it genuinely transformed the way I interpret difficulties and shaped a much more resilient outlook on life.
