I would like to talk about a time when I wasn't interested in a topic at all. This situation happened many years ago when I was on a trip with my friends. I was drawing a tree while sitting near a young boy. He started to talk with me about cartoons and animated series. These series felt quite banal to me because I wasn't interested in cartoons, and I don't like to watch them. I tried to steer the conversation away, but he continued speaking about them. I am not a very good person for not engaging, but I hoped to change the topic to school. While he was speaking about this cartoon, I couldn't stop him because I didn't want to be rude. It was a challenging situation for me, as I felt trapped in a conversation that didn't interest me at all. I remember thinking about how to politely disengage while still being respectful. In the end, I learned that sometimes it's okay to express disinterest, but in that moment, I chose to listen rather than interrupt.
