Band 7+: Describe a difficult thing you did and succeeded in

There are many things that I find difficult at first, but later on, due to time and practice, I am able to do them effortlessly. For example, there was a time when I thought dancing was too difficult, but due to my dedication and hard work, I am now very much a pro at it. However, one challenging thing that I did was cooking. It was around three years ago when I was in my 10th class, and there was a cooking competition coming up, and the prize was a laptop. At that time, I really needed it for my studies. Two months were left for that competition, so I decided to participate in it. At first, I thought it would be a piece of cake for me. When I reached home, I decided to cook a vegetable. Surprisingly, it got burned. I was very disappointed, and later on, I realized that it was not as easy as I had thought. So, I decided to search for it on YouTube. I watched a lot of videos about how to cook as a beginner for about an hour. Later on, I was not able to get into it that much, and it was getting hectic, and I was getting frustrated. I decided to take help from my mother and sister since my mother has been cooking for 20 years and has experience. Later on, she guided me from the very basic steps, and it was much easier for me. After that, with her guidance, I was able to make a vegetable known as ladyfinger. Later on, I tasted it, and my sister tasted it, and she was impressed by my skill. Even when I tasted it, I was not expecting it to be that good. For about a week, I practiced cooking a lot of different vegetables, and later on, when the competition came, our team won first prize because of my vegetable dish. My teacher was very impressed. They even asked me for the recipe. After winning, I felt great and overwhelmed. I was not expecting this much. I was over the moon. It was the best thing ever. Thank you for watching.
